Earth's Story
Exploring our changing planet... one conversation at a time
Exploring our changing planet... one conversation at a time
My name is Tom Hunt.
My wife and I are travelling around Australia in an electric vehicle, photographing remarkable places and talking with people about the world we share and the changes they have witnessed during their lifetime.
Along the journey I'm creating a documentary called Earth's Story.
It combines science, history, photography and personal stories to explore one simple question:
How did we arrive at this point in Earth's long history—and where might we be heading next?
If we've met during my travels, thank you for taking the time to stop and chat. I hope you'll enjoy following our journey.
Our travels are taking us through some of Australia’s most remarkable landscapes, including the deserts, ranges, waterways, towns and communities of inland and central Australia.
Along the way, I am recording short interviews with people willing to share their observations and experiences.
These conversations may help shape a future Earth’s Story film. The interviews are currently working material and are not being published in full.
Photographs and travel updates from our "Middle Oz" journey are being shared through FindPenguins.
This presentation introduces the central idea behind the project: the story of how Earth’s climate developed, how human activity is changing it, and what that may mean for our future.
Interviews are currently being recorded and are not yet publicly available. I aim to take into account everyones thoughts and concerns. I expect that selected interviews will become part of the finished documentary.
Questions, comments and corrections are welcome.
